Textile machinery: our pride and joy

Dear Customers,

Textile machinery is our pride and joy, and has been for the past 129 years. Notwithstanding this fact, in the meantime our understanding of the role of machines has changed completely. In the past, they were the driving force behind textile production progress, but now technology has attained a degree of maturity, which means that today advances take place in a new dimension.

Machines remain irreplaceable, but nevertheless they only conform to market needs when they can lock into production processes in an intelligent, individual and flexible manner. Jakob Müller AG continues to build such machinery. However, above all we develop future-safe, integrated systems and solutions for the narrow fabrics industry with the objective of ensuring that our customers are at the cutting edge of progress, both today and tomorrow.

In this spirit, I wish you pleasant reading and continued business success.

Two more trumps for the NH2 53

NH2 53 2/130 with a 75mm stroke and LAN interface.

With the successful launch of the NH2 53 narrow fabric loom, Jakob Müller AG implemented a complete range of innovations. Moreover, in the strengthened NH2 53 2/130 version, a 75mm heald shaft stroke makes the loom even more impressive. The NH2 53 2/130 can also be programmed via a portable operating device and using LAN, controlled directly from a MÜCAD workstation.

The NH2 53 2/130 is equipped with an ingenious control system that is programmed via wireless data transmission using a portable device. This tool stores all relevant data such as fabric design, speed and weft density, thus allowing the gathering of precise operational statistics. A single portable device can be used to program several machines and this new version also facilitates programming via MÜCAD. The LAN interface on the machine provides a link to the MÜCAD workstation, which in turn permits the transfer of new orders and patterns to the machine by means of MÜCAD Direct Transfer.

A limited maintenance requirement and reduced spare part needs emanate from the fact that the machine employs fewer mechanical components, and in tandem with an energy requirement of less than 2 kW, these factors serve to cut production costs.

Weaving system Z5

Apart from these innovative aspects of the NH2 53 2/130, the machine naturally incorporates the general advantages of this NH2 series, which is suitable for light- to medium-weight, elastic and non-elastic narrow fabrics with infinite repeat lengths:

Repeat lengths are practically unlimited, owing to a linear motor driven heald shaft:

MÜPRINT MDP3 E for large production volumes

Perfectly printed narrow fabrics with the MÜPRINT MDP3 E.

The new MÜPRINT MDP3 E, which made its debut at the ITMA 2015, supplements Müller’s existing textile printing programme with a model for larger production volumes. The MÜPRINT MDP3 E stands out due to its newly developed high-precision printing head, which has been designed specially for the use of sublimation inks on textiles. An extensive printing width, the innovative printing head and the large-volume ink system facilitate an enormous increase in productivity and reliability, and make the MÜPRINT MDP3 E a durable and robust CMYK printing system.

With the MÜPRINT MDP3 E, Jakob Müller AG has launched a new flagship for its textile printing programme. The medium format MÜPRINT MDP3 E printer catches the eye through its high production output, excellent and consistent quality, and low overall costs.

The outstanding features of this new printing system are as follows:

Contactless direct printing offers a number of advantages over transfer and screen printing processes. For example, it facilitates the printing of open weaves or narrow fabrics with uneven surfaces or alternating thicknesses. In addition, article changes can be completed quickly due to rapid resetting times and narrow fabrics can also be personalised and individualised with ease.

More performance from older NFJMs

Are you looking to continue using your tried and trusted NFJM, but wish to have additional functions and higher pattern definition? No problem! All that is needed is an exchange of the existing SEC96 or SPE2 192 jacquard for an up-to-date SPE3 192 or SPE3 384.

SPE3 384
Upgrade to SPE3 384

Refurbishing your proven NFJM needle loom with a modern jacquard like that used in the latest NFJM2 machines, provides additional functions and enhanced pattern definition. This adds up to multiple advantages for you that include the retention of the loom’s value.

The following upgrades are possible:

The modifications do not require a larger footprint, but a higher ceiling (up to 3m depending on the jacquard selected).

Müller events in review

A new stand concept is premiered at the ITMA 2015 in Milan

The new Jakob Müller AG stand concept with its theme worlds made its debut at the ITMA 2015 and evoked a highly positive response. Visitors liked the clear presentations and the new applications produced using the machines on display attracted a great deal of attention. For the first time, Jakob Müller AG and COMEZ International s.r.l. appeared at a trade fair together and this presentation demonstrated clearly that the ranges of the two companies supplement each other to perfection.

A customer event in Bangladesh

During the 13th Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition, Jakob Müller AG invited its customers and interested parties to an informative get-together followed by lunch. Short, interesting presentations offered facts and figures regarding political and economic influences, as well as the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Switzerland. Smart Field, one of our sales partners in Bangladesh, provided the event’s perfect organisation.

Open house at Jakob Müller Deutschland GmbH

In autumn 2015, over a hundred guests accepted the invitation to attend an in-house fair in Schwelm. Customers and partners gathered information about the current machinery and services portfolio in the company’s newly designed halls. In addition, during the two-day event a varied, supporting programme ensured the well being of the guests.
